This Pre-Solicitation Notice is being issued by the United States Army Corps of Engineers- Chicago District to inform interested contractors of the District?s intent to issue a solicitation for Gary Airport Storm and Sanitary Sewer Improvements, Gary, Lake County, Indiana. ***** PROJECT INFORMATION: Under the contract, the contractor will be required to provide the following construction services: This project includes improvements to the existing duplex lift station serving the Boeing Maintenance Facility. Upgrades to the lift station include replacing both pumps and pump controls, other miscellaneous equipment, the existing equipment access hatch, and adding a flow meter and structure. Also included is the rehabilitation of portions of the storm sewer system using trenchless technologies such as cured-in-place-pipe (CIPP) lining, root cutting, and heavy cleaning for the sewer pipes. Rehabilitation of the affected storm sewer structures includes cleaning inlets and pipe end sections, replacing inlet lids and broken end sections, and installation of trash racks in end sections. Additionally, the rehabilitation of portions of the sanitary sewer system using cured-in-place-pipe (CIPP) lining, Point Repair, and Trenchless CIPP Point Liner is included.
