Q: Is a gate valve specifically required, or would an alternative such as a ball valve or meter stop be acceptable? R: The project involves installation in kind. 07/16/2026 Amendment to Solicitation: Change verbiage to read: Work hours: Monday through Friday, Service to potable water valves to begin at 1500 3 pm, EST. This change was made to alleviate the hardship of having potable water shutdown during normal working hours at the Air Station. Weekend service will be considered by Coast Guard Command and Contracting Officer. This combined synopsis/solicitation for construction services is prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This synopsis/solicitation is being advertised as Small Business Set-Aside only. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; no separate written solicitation will be issued.
