REQUEST FOR QUOTE VOLCANIC TEPHRA SAMPLE ANALYSIS INTRODUCTION This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE DESCRIPTION The US Geological Survey (USGS) Alaska Science Center (ASC), requires mineral separation, LA-ICPMS spot analyses, and CA-ID-TIMS analyses as described in the attached Statement of Work (SOW). RELEVANT INFORMATION The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 541380 Testing Laboratories and Services and associated size standard $19.0 million applies to this announcement, along with Product Service Code B517 Special Studies / Analysis, Geological. All services will be performed at the contractor's laboratory. This service is subject to the Service Contract Labor Standards Statute.
