Intent to Sole Source

Notice of Intent to Sole Source, Varian Medical Systems, Inc. Intelli Blate Microwave Ablation System Defense Health Agency Contracting Activity (DHACA), Health Contracting Division-(HCD-Southeast) Bragg Branch, Womack Army Medical Center, Fort Bragg, NC, intends to Award a Firm Fixed Price, Purchase Order, on a sole source basis to Varian Medical Systems, Inc. 3100 Hansen Way, Palo Alto, CA 94304, utilizing the authority of Title 41 U.S.C. �1901(e)(2) as implemented in FAR 12-102(a): Other Procedures. This requirement is to provide The Intelli Blate Microwave Ablation System. The system provides minimally invasive cancer treatments and organ-sparing therapies central to patient care. The percutaneous microwave ablation machine provides life-saving treatments, enhances procedural efficiency and efficacy. will improve readiness and training capabilities, reduce patient morbidity and cost, and avoid loss of referrals/patients. It supports the mission of Interventional Radiology for Womack Army Medical Center,2814 Rock Merritt Ave, Fort Bragg, 28310, NC. The contractor shall furnish all material and equipment necessary to fulfil this requirement. The Government intends to procure from only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, for Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.
