SVIP Topic Call - Object Recognition and Adaptive Algorithms in Passenger Property Screening

A. The purpose of Amendment 1 to Call 13 (70RSAT18R00000024) to Department of Homeland Security Other Transaction Solicitation (OTS) HSHQDC-16-R-B0005 is to perform the following actions: Technical Call: 1. The Technical Topic Area (TTA) #1 language has been edited in Section 3.1 in order to clarify the focus of the TTA (Reference: Pages 2 - 3). 2. The hypothetical scenario language in Section 4.1 has been edited in order to clarify the types of solutions that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is looking for (Reference: Pages 3 - 4). 3. The quarterly application deadline dates and the final closing date have been extended in Section 6.1 as follows: 1st Deadline Date changed from July 13, 2018 to August 15, 2018; 2nd Deadline Date changed from October 12, 2018 to November 13, 2018; 3rd Deadline Date changed from January 15, 2019 to February 15, 2019; 4th Deadline Date changed from April 17, 2019 to May 17, 2019; Closing Date/Final Quarterly Deadline Date changed from April 17, 2019 to May 17, 2019 (Reference: Page 6) Application Template: The application template has been modified to incorporate the following updates: 1. The quarterly application deadlines and the final closing date have been extended in the General Instructions section as follows: 1st Deadline Date changed from 7/13/2018 to 8/15/2018; 2nd Deadline Date changed from 10/12/2018 to 11/13/2018; 3rd Deadline Date changed from 01/15/2019 to 02/15/2019; 4th Deadline Date changed from 04/17/2019 to 05/17/2019; Closing Date changed from April 17, 2019 to May 17, 2019. IMPORTANT NOTE: As specified above, all quarterly application deadlines have been extended and this OTS call is now open through 12:00 PM PT / 3:00 PM ET on May 17, 2019. B.
