THE HIP DEMONSTRATION, IN THE STATE OF INDIANA, IS A SECTION 1115 DEMONSTRATION THAT INCLUDES A MEDICAID EXPANSION POPULATION UNDER THE AFFORDABLE CARE ACT, SECTION 2001(A )(1) (AS AMENDED BY SECTION 10201) WHICH ADDS A NEW ELIGIBILITY GROUP AT 1902(A)(10)(A)(I)(VIII) OF THE ACT. THE DEMONSTRATION IS A THREE YEAR PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE FROM FEBRUARY 1, 2015 THROUGH JANUARY 31, 2018.
